  • Phil Jackson, Chair

    Volunteering in his community, Phil is an expert on clean water and wastewater treatment plants. Professionally, Phil leads Public Sector Strategic Initiatives for a Fortune 500 tech company. Phil is a former candidate for Talbot County Council and was elected Vice Chair of the Committee in 2023.

  • Nancy Andrew, Vice Chair

    A Talbot native, Nancy has extensive experience as a non-profit leader and organizer. She served as Talbot’s Campaign Captain for the 2018 congressional campaign for Jesse Colvin and was later appointed to the Committee.

  • Dina Daly, Secretary

    Dina Gomes Daly is Executive Director of Building African American Minds (BAAM) Inc. She began this position in April 2021. Dina and her husband, Derick are the founding members of BAAM and she has been on the board since its inception. Dina joined the Committee in 2022.

    Justin joined the Maryland Democratic Party during the 2018 Coordinated Campaign and has since held multiple roles, now serving as Party Affairs Director. An Easton native, he enjoys exploring the small towns of the Eastern Shore when he’s not supporting County Parties and Democratic Clubs across Maryland.

  • Walter Chase

    Walter has a long and storied career as a leader and trailblazer in Talbot County. A former Committee Chair himself, Walter has been a leader in the local Democratic community for decades. Walter is a former two term President of the local NAACP and is a retired Chief of the Easton Police Department.

  • Ridgely Ochs

    Ridgely Ochs is an award-winning journalist who spent nearly four decades covering health, healthcare, and politics in New York. A Pulitzer finalist and Emmy winner, she reported on the health impact of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the Haiti earthquake. Since moving to the Eastern Shore in 2016, she has been active in grassroots advocacy, including efforts to remove a Confederate statue in Easton. She holds degrees from Wellesley College and Stanford University.
